Christmas Tree 2011
Roy got this beautiful tree for free by coincidence and took charge of decorating it himself this year. Yea! We had a lovely Christmas lunch as usual chez Judy's and enjoyed her gormet food and opening presents. Channa and her daughter Elizabeth joined us along with Judy's mother, as usual.
Figgy Pudding Christmas Caroling Competition, Downtown Seattle, December 2011
Roy and I attended the outdoor Figgy Pudding annual Chirstmas Caroling Competition on the first Friday night in December. I sang with the a chorus that competes every year and won the first year I sang. We were promoted to the main stage to sing for the entire crowd--it was so exciting! It's nice though to be a spectator instead of a performer sometimes because then I get to actually stroll around and listen to all the other choruses sing on the street corners in this Dickensonian flavored event which raises money for the downtown food bank and senior center. The main stage is right next to the Macy's star and Westlake Mall.

My Birthday November 2011
Dad and I enjoy the birthday cake and cards my Shreveport friends gave me. Trisha and my friend Judy help me celebrate by birthday at home and at the cafe at Anthony's downtown on the Seattle waterfront where salmon is king. I'm lucky to have old friends who make me feel extra special once each year.
Judy celebrated my birthday at her house along with Trisha, Roy, Shanna and myself. The next picture is of Judy's homemade gormet cake with professional decorations of chocolate coated leafs. Delicious!

Dad and Nancy |
At Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Dad is busy playing his harmonica at age 95. Larry wants to horn in on his action. Dad's not a big talker now but he still loves to eat three square meals a day. It's been nice to see him after the scare in August when he suffered subdural hematomas, followed by successful burr hole surgery.

Larry, Helen Marak, Nancy, Bill |
Larry and I dine with Helen Marak and her son Bill at Live Oak Nursing Home where the food is gormet. Helen is as sharp as ever, great to talk with and shared some wisdom with me when I needed it.
